Brief History: Fashion Illustration
Fashion Illustrations started as a way for merchants and travelers in the 16th century to communicate the fashion trends and customs of the places they visited around the globe. This helped others in their home country know how to dress and act in these new places.
In the 1920s-30s, fashion illustrations exploded in magazines using fashion Plates. These illustrations helped set fashion trends and instructed their readers on how they could construct similar looks.
After the popularization of fashion photography, illustrations took a bit of a back seat until more recently. Now that illustrations no longer need to be instructional, it has given illustrators more room for artistic expression.

Since Midjourney knows the magazine, it always tries to type the title across the image in big bold serif letters. It does a better job of this when you use V6 and put the title in quotes.
Firefly does not know Vogue since it is a business, but it does understand the context of a magazine and it does a great job of generating magazine-worthy illustrations.

The 20s and 30s were a perfect storm for fashion illustrations: couture fashion was emerging in Paris, and fashion magazines like Vogue were exploding at the time but photography wasn’t popular yet so advertisers and editors leaned on illustrations.
Images generated with this keyword show beautiful Art Deco illustrations full of Flapper Girls and men in trench coats like the magazines would show at the time.

Firefly struggles with this term but generates golden images. The keyword also tends to generate more realistic illustrations.
